News round-up: Courses - Free training for minority groups

Voluntary sector body VCS Engage is delivering a series of free training programmes to black and minority ethnic (BME) groups and faith-based organisations on the Every Child Matters agenda.

The training will help BME and faith-based organisations to understand the impact of the government green paper on the services they offer.

Sally Whitaker, programme director of VCS Engage, said: "This programme will play a key role in helping BME and grass-roots faith organisations to better participate in the planning and delivery of services."
