News round-up: Alcohol - Derby teens told to consider actions

Young people in Derby are being urged to think about their actions after drinking.

The Derby Teenage Pregnancy Partnership and Derby Community Safety Partnership have launched a poster and credit card-sized flyers campaign to highlight the dangers of sex and other risky behaviours when under the influence of alcohol.

The posters and flyers provide contact information for organisations such as the Young Addaction helpline and details of the Talk to Frank website.

Sheila McFarlane, commissioner for teenage pregnancy for Derby, said: "Although many young people may say that they know their limits and they are still in control, having even one drink can change a person's perception of a situation."
