With just a few days before the first wave of the Equality Act 2010 comes into force, children's rights activists are warning that professionals are unprepared.
The Children's Rights Alliance for England (CRAE) says not enough has been done to inform children and those who work with them about the changes that will occur when the act becomes law on 1 October.
The organisation is set to host a seminar in London on 24 September, bringing together experts on equality to discuss key features of the legislation and explore the enforcement powers of the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC).
