NEWS IN BRIEF: Survey on child protection published

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health has published its survey on child protection (Health news, 11 February) and says one in seven UK paediatricians has been the subject of a formal complaint about their child protection work. Nearly one-third of these doctors said they were less willing to become involved in child protection work. The number of complaints has increased from fewer than 20 in 1995 to more than 100 in 2003.Visit www.rcpch.ac.uk/news/index.html.
