Nursery nurses in Edinburgh were due to go back to work on Monday (31 May) after voting overwhelmingly in favour of a revised pay offer from the city council. However, nurses in Glasgow have rejected an improved offer from their council, which said it had "reached the end of the road". Edinburgh nurses voted five to one in favour of the new proposals through a postal ballot.
