Throughout the two-day show, a series of free workshops will take placecovering an array of topics, from finance to funding to a father'sinvolvement in a child's development. The workshops are split into fourstreams, with up to seven sessions in each: partnership working; careerplanning; finance and sustainability; and services that will attractusers to a setting.
High-profile industry speakers will talk about their real-lifeexperiences, giving listeners practical tips. However, speakers will notbe standing at a lectern delivering a monologue. Instead, sessions willbe interactive, incorporating questions from the audiences.
While the workshops are designed to flag up good practice, speakersrecognise that in a complex setting such as a children's centre orextended school there is no definitive "right" way to do things.Consequently, sessions will also provide an opportunity for attendees toshare their struggles and solutions.
