Having contributed all of her travel costs, the sponsorship money she raised through selling cakes, washing cars and car boot sales went directly to NCB.
"The trekking was hard in the midday heat. We crossed waterfalls and struggled up steep cast mountains, often meeting passing local villagers," says Flynn.
The trek began outside of Hanoi in the Hoa Binh province, leading her through the mountainous region and the Red River Delta, and ending up close to the border with China, staying in many small villages along the way.
