The guide has been produced as a result of a two-year nationaldevelopment project funded by the Teenage Pregnancy Unit and containsadvice and examples of how to plan, develop and sustain creativeopportunities for young people to participate in decision-making.
The guide also highlights that allowing young people to participate canmake a real difference, helping them to gain confidence and skills tomake positive choices about their health and wellbeing, and influencehow policies and services are developed.
Children's commissioner for England Al Aynsley-Green, who wrote theforeword to the guide, said: "I hope it will inspire colleagues tocontinue to build new and innovative ways to place the views andexperiences of vulnerable young people ever more centrally at the heartof decision-making."
