NCB Now: Pupils walk their way to healthier bodies

Pupils across the country are building giant skeletons in their playgrounds as part of Walk to School Week (23-27 May).

Walk To School, a campaign jointly run by Travelwise and Living Streets, aims to highlight how walking can help pupils build healthy bodies. NCB's Young Transnet is part of Walk To School's steering group.

Pupils from nine schools were presented with huge jigsaw pieces in return for walking to school on Monday. These pieces are now being used to construct skeletons.

"More than two million parents and children will leave the car at home to support the week," said Andrew Stuck, Young Transnet project manager.
