NCB Now: Young TransNet unveils expanded site

1 min read
Young TransNet, the NCB based network which uses IT and the Internet to assist children and young people in transport research and action, has unveiled its revamped web site.

Due to an increase in demand, the web site - which features travel surveys allowing pupils to record information about their journeys to school - has been expanded to accommodate its growing database of over 180,000 young people's school travel logs.

The surveys have also been updated to include an option to record car share journeys.

The site allows users to analyse the results of these surveys, enabling them to find out about other young people's journeys, how they would like to travel and how they want walking, cycling and public transport to be improved.

Enhanced analysis tools mean schools can now more easily compare their travel survey results year on year.
