NCB Now: Prioritising partnerships

1 min read
Now 45 years old, NCB has, quite appropriately, for most of its life described itself as a membership organisation - we currently have over 2,000 members from across the children and young people's sector, whether statutory, private or voluntary.

We provide essential information on policy, research and best practice to our members in particular, supporting and informing those working with and on behalf of children, their families and carers and, through our young members' scheme Young NCB, children and young people themselves.

But these well-established partnerships with our members aren't the only way that NCB actively supports and promotes collaboration and partnership working across the sector. We now find the word "infrastructure" much better explains who and what we are as an organisation - in addition to our membership, projects and other activities we are a host to over 30 single-issue or single-client groups, networks, fora, councils and partnership programmes that operate under our charitable status.
