The conference, which takes place on 23 March at the British Museum, will feature a keynote address by Children's Secretary Ed Balls and will be chaired by journalist and Radio 4's Woman's Hour presenter, Jenni Murray. Programme highlights will include a celebration of the achievements of the third sector adventure playground funding programme, as well as sessions on topics such as the built environment, playwork and provision, and the voluntary community sector.
The conference will celebrate the achievements of both the government's Play Strategy and the Big Lottery Fund's Children's Play initiative, and share learning for the future, including the impact that investing in play can have on outcomes for children.
