NCB Now: News from Scotland - Highlighting a working partnership

Enquire, the Scottish advice and information service for additional support for learning, managed by Children in Scotland, has published Making Partnership Work: Effective practice to support children's learning.

The report reflects on the introduction of the Additional Support forLearning Act. Anne Lennon, senior manager of Enquire, said: "Partnershipworking lies at the heart of the Act. To ensure that support is properlyfocused on the needs of every child or young person who may require it,it is essential that parents, children, young people, agencies andprofessionals work together."

November marks the first anniversary of the Act and will see publicationof the first in a new series of Moving Forward, the newsletter producedby Children in Scotland on behalf of the Scottish Executive, whichcovers the Act's implementation.
