NCB Now: News from Scotland

A challenge to change.

The May issue of Children in Scotland looks at how times of change can be positive.

Acting children's commissioner Marie McCormack highlights Save the Children's grant scheme supporting hard-hit UK families. The issue also focuses on how changing the way we think about residential child care could make a difference in helping looked-after children develop into healthy adults, and how play can help children to resolve distress and trauma.

The Scottish Out of School Care Network conference will take place next month and will address changing people's perceptions when outlining the relationship between school services and out of school care.
