How can local authorities and their partners ensure young children are given the best start in life? What is required at a national level to help develop services to meet the needs of the whole child?
These issues will be discussed at a major Children in Scotland conference in Glasgow on 9 September 2008, in the run-up to the publication of the final Early Years and Early Intervention Framework currently being prepared by the Scottish government and the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities.
The event will also draw on international reviews and practice.
