NCB Now: NCB sends briefing to lead councillors

In a new briefing from NCB, lead councillors with responsibility for children's services are being asked whether they knew that 33.3 per cent of African-Caribbean boys gained five or more A* to C GCSEs, compared to 77.1 per cent of Chinese boys in 2005, or that 55 per cent of families with disabled children live in poverty.

In the face of recent developments in the planning and delivery ofchildren's services, NCB wants to ensure that lead councillors are awareof the breadth of their responsibilities to all children and youngpeople.

The briefing provides information to help them plan for, and respond to,these changes.

- If you are a member of NCB and would like to receive a copy of thebriefing, please email membership@ncb.org.uk.
