NCB Now: PSHE development for Traveller families

NCB's latest Spotlight briefing focuses on the development of personal, social and health education (PSHE) and citizenship for Traveller communities.

The briefing highlights two key areas for consideration: the need to ensure that PSHE and citizenship is targeted towards the children of Traveller communities, and how to promote inclusion and challenge prejudice.

The briefing provides a suggested model for effective delivery of PSHE and citizenship to Traveller communities, and tackles some of the myths about this group.

"Professionals working with Travellers will need to reflect on their own beliefs and practices in order to prevent stereotyping," said Kate Evans, author of the briefing.
