Life Routes is managed by the National Children's Bureau and funded byNokia as part of the global Make a Connection programme committed topromoting positive youth development.
The Life Routes programme works in schools and communities to help youngpeople develop the skills and confidence to achieve the five outcomesidentified in Every Child Matters.
A Life Routes resource for those working with vulnerable young people ina range of settings was also launched at the conference. The resourcebuilds on the success of the Make a Connection schools programme, alsofunded by Nokia and managed by NCB.
"All young people need to learn skills to help them manage everydaychallenges," said Sophie Wood, project manager at NCB. "This isespecially true for vulnerable young people.
