In partnership with regional sustainable development leads, each workshop was tailor-made to support learning and sharing on meaningful engagement with children and young people on the planning and delivery of sustainable living approaches.
Young people provided practitioners, planners and policymakers from children's, health and environmental services and voluntary organisations with information on how to engage children and young people in their work and share good practice. The workshops were designed to ensure children and young people are supported to lead change in their communities, speak about their experiences and concerns and contribute to solutions by influencing local and national decision making.
Key themes include the importance of joining up policies and practices to achieve multiple sustainable living outcomes, and for children to be partners in affecting change.
