NCB Now: NCB delivers health quality standards

1 min read
The Voluntary Sector Support (VSS) programme, run by NCB, provides practical support to voluntary and community organisations who work with children and young people.

The programme works towards creating a stronger dialogue between third sector organisations and public bodies, primarily the Department of Health and children's trusts. It has a particular interest in working with smaller grassroots community organisations who do not have an established history of feeding into policy. VSS aims to provide guidance to children and young people's organisations on the policy frameworks they operate within and to ensure that the voice of children and young people is heard by government.

In its capacity as a strategic partner to the Department of Health, the VSS programme is delivering events on the government's You're Welcome quality assurance standards, which aim to make health services young people-friendly.
