NCB Now: NCB conference on safeguarding

NCB will host a conference on 19 May to review safeguarding arrangements following the Baby P tragedy.

In response to Baby P's death the government ordered a series of reviews, and asked Lord Laming to consider whether the reforms brought in after his inquiry into Victoria Climbie's death are being implemented.

The conference will be an opportunity to discuss the effects of the tragedy on social work practice and examine the findings of the Laming review.

- NCB is now offering three for two places on this conference. For more information, visit www.ncb.org.uk/conferences or contact Paul Taylor on 020 7843 6041 or ptaylor@ncb.org.uk.
