- Youth involvement - its youth involvement project involves fine-tuning and developing engagement and involvement with Scout members of all ages at national and local levels.
- Vetting and barring - the Scout Association has concerns about the direction of proposals on this forthcoming initiative and believes they could have a negative effect on adult recruitment and on young people working together in groups and as young leaders. - Curriculum - the association is always monitoring and reviewing its six- to 25-year-old children and youth curriculum and has formed a high-level think-tank to consider the issues facing young people that might affect its programme over the next few years.
