NCB Now: Group work helps young people

A new two-day training course offered by NCB will show delegates how group work can empower young people by boosting their emotional, social and health skills.

The course, running from 30-31 January, is aimed at all those workingwith young people in group settings. It is designed to equipparticipants with the skills and confidence to work moreeffectively.

Trainer Jo Laxton will explain how this approach can enablepractitioners to meet the five national outcomes for children.

Delegates will learn about active learning methods as well as how togive constructive feedback and deal with difficult behaviour. There willalso be the opportunity to plan, run and evaluate a rehearsal groupsession.
