The event, organised by the National Youth Agency, Groundwork, CABE and the Children's Play Council, will focus on the learning and personal development that takes place outside formal education.
Entitled The 51-Minute Challenge - based on the notion that children spend 51 minutes of the waking hour away from school - the conference will examine innovative methods of providing children with opportunities to play, socialise and develop.
The 51-Minute Challenge takes place at Church House, Westminster, on 31 March. Speakers include CPC director Tim Gill, Frank Dobson MP and youth activist Kierra Box.
