NCB Now: Contribution to care therapy theory

A new publication, Milieu-Therapy with Children edited by Hans Kornerup, is a major contribution to the theory, policy and practice of planned environmental therapy for children and young people in residential care.

The book is written by social pedagogues and based on experiences developed over the past 60 years.

Jonathan Stanley, manager of the National Centre for Excellence in Residential Child Care, based at NCB said: "The theory and practice presented in this book helps expand our appreciation of residential child care as therapy in and through the environment."
