NCB Now: Conference explores evaluation issues

With increasing demand for providers to evaluate the services they offer, how can stakeholders - including children and young people - be involved effectively in the evaluation process?

A conference held by NCB on 22 February aimed to address this issue, with workshops on topics such as listening to very young children, getting practitioners and managers on board, and working with parents.

Speakers included Catherine Shaw, principal research officer (evaluation) at NCB, and Professor Jane Tunstill from Royal Holloway College, University of London, while young people from the peer inspection team of Lambeth Youth Council provided instant evaluation.

The event was chaired by NCB's research director, Dr Ruth Sinclair.
