NCB Now: Comment - Youth update: action on health services

1 min read
An update from Usman Ali, MYP Calderdale, and Harrison Carter, MYP Sheffield.

In Sheffield, Harrison's local area, the UK Youth Parliament has been working on a campaign to improve the accessibility of mental health facilities for young people. Being involved in this campaign has led to us getting out in the community and asking young people directly what they want.

Elsewhere, in Calderdale a steering group of young people and adults is being established that will use the You're Welcome standards to inspect a variety of health services, which will eventually contribute to the government's target of having all health services You're Welcome-friendly by 2020.
