NCB Now: Aynsley-Green to talk at conference

1 min read
Al Aynsley-Green, England's first children's commissioner, will deliver a keynote speech at a conference organised by NCB's Early Childhood Unit in London on 14 April.

Listening to young children's views on diet and exercise will look at how adults can support young children in making decisions about healthy lifestyles and encourage them to use food as a tool to learn about the world.

The commissioner will discuss how listening to young children provides an opportunity to improve their lives and health.

A leaflet produced by the Early Childhood Unit containing advice on listening to young children about food will be available at the event. An extension of the Sure Start funded Listening as a way of life series, the leaflet includes case studies gathered through the Young Children's Voices Network, a scheme which the unit is piloting. It also features advice on how food can be used to learn about equality and diversity.
