NCB Now: Around the world for climate change

1 min read
Towards the end of 2007, members of the Department for Children, Schools and Families' Children and Youth Board were invited to enter a competition on their views on climate change. The winner would receive the trip of a lifetime to Bali to attend the UN Convention on Climate Change.

I produced a DVD on what my local area, Middlesbrough, was doing to tackle the issue of climate change. I couldn't believe it when I won.

Since my return, I have informed my local council of what I did in Bali and teamed up with executive members of the youth councils to put into play a motion for a recycling strategy - one idea of which is recycling in youth centres and maybe schools to help inform other young people.
