NCB Now: 10k run raises money for YNCB

A group of 30 runners took part in the British 10k on 3 July to raise money for a Young NCB project to inform young people about their rights.

The runners, who included NCB staff, friends and three Young NCB members, raised nearly 4,000 between them as they ran through central London.

The money will be used by Young NCB to plan and run participatory events for young people around the country. The project is particularly focused on those who might not normally have access to this kind of information, including young people in care and those from minority ethnic communities.

Young NCB member Graham Duffy said: "I really enjoyed the run and there was a fantastic atmosphere in London ahead of the G8 summit and the Olympic decision.

It was great to see so many people running for charitable causes and I was really proud to be running for NCB."
