National Youth Agency Update: National Youth Agency and Local Government Association to host transforming services for young people event

1 min read
The National Youth Agency and the Local Government Association are hosting an essential one-day event to discuss, reflect on and explore the shape and provision of services for young people at this time of unprecedented change.

To be held on 20 January, Hard Times: Great Expectations — Transforming Services for Young People will give lead members with responsibility for children's services, directors and associate directors of children's services, and heads of service the chance to contribute to debates about youth provision in the new post-spending review landscape.

Participants will hear from a number of high-profile speakers, including key policy and decision makers, young people and local authorities, and have the opportunity to take part in debate and discussion about the future shape of youth services and their relationship with the government's big society plans and the community, and changing role of local authorities.
