The National Youth Agency: Event planned to promote the achievements of youth mayors

The National Youth Agency is supporting an event to promote the positive work of youth mayors and other local youth representatives which will be help at Portcullis House, Westminster, on Wednesday 29 April.

The cross-party event, organised by Tim Loughton MP, is open to youth mayors, youth cabinet representatives and their equivalents from across England. Local authority elected members and officers working in the youth area are also being encouraged to attend.

Jon Boagey, The NYA's director of communications, said: "Those young people attending will be able to impress upon politicians what youth mayors are achieving and what more can be achieved working together, sharing best practice between young community leaders and youth representatives across the country."

The programme details are being finalised and will be available shortly.
