National Youth Agency: Sharing the learning and making health services fit for young people

Richard McKie, national programme manager for Quality and Standards at the National Youth Agency, is one of the speakers kicking off a series of events exploring making health services work for young people and sharing the learning from the Teenage Health Demonstration sites. They will give practical advice and information about developing and extending services locally.

The events, organised by the Association for Young People's Health and the Department of Health, start in Peterborough on 3 December.

Six key principles of delivering health services to young people will be explored during the events. These are: involving young people in the development of services; making our health services more accessible; taking health services for young people into the community; ensuring health services reach all young people; building strategic partnerships to improve young people's health; and how to plan health services for young people.

Further events are planned for Bristol and Leeds next year. Contact teenagehealth@profileproductions.co.uk.
