NATIONAL YOUTH AGENCY: New patron for The NYA

1 min read

Tom, who in 2001 was selected as the youngest participant at the Young Leaders Programme in Washington DC, created two highly successful internet companies, starting when he was 12. He is now building a global youth-led organisation, Impactanation, to increase awareness of young people to the major challenges facing the planet, and to inspire action. His focus is on creating environmental campaigns, connecting young people with key stakeholders and supporting community action with small grants.

For the past three years he has used his role as a Global Leader for Tomorrow at the World Economic Forum to campaign for an increased role for young people in setting the global agenda. Currently with the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA), he is helping to create a Fellowship Programme to support young people's creativity and innovation.
