National Youth Agency: Counselling training programme

1 min read
Youth Access, the membership association for UK youth information, advice, counselling and support services, has launched a Masters-level training programme.

Offered in partnership with the University of East London, counsellors working specifically with young people will, for the first time, be able to gain Masters-level credits by successfully completing Youth Access courses. Those who gain a score of 120 or more will be able to progress onto the final dissertation.

Barbara Rayment, director of Youth Access, said: "Our long experience of representing and supporting youth counselling demonstrates the depth and range of skills and knowledge required of those working with young people. The accreditation of our counselling training has been a much cherished ambition, helping to improve both the status and recognition of these practitioners and the critical services they offer young people."
