National Youth Agency: Comment -- The game's afoot

1 min read
Youth workers are, as we know, past masters and mistresses of latching on to current affairs and "where young people are" to make the most of their work with the young.

One organisation very quickly on the ball is the National Literacy Trust, which has joined forces with children's author Tom Palmer and the Football Association to develop a free World Cup resource to inspire young people's reading.

The resource is a toolkit for literacy professionals and features ideas and activities that youth clubs, schools, libraries and learning centres can use to promote reading through sport.
