As an organisation whose mission is to support young people to achieve their full potential, to improve their life chances and to help them develop their voice and influence in shaping policy and securing social justice, it's perhaps surprising how infrequently we actually get to sit down with young people and hear directly about the issues that matter to them.
By "we" in this context, I mean me and my immediate colleagues in the media services team. The most cursory glance around the office will reveal the very real consultation and participation between colleagues and young people, for example, in helping to develop Sexplanation!, our new sex and relationships board game, or our Stories of the World report for the Museums, Libraries and Archives Partnership (see forthcoming issues of CYP Now for more on these).
