My Week - Fancy footwear to usher in a new era

Monday I'm at the Social Enterprise London summit, where conversation is peppered with the effort we have to make to familiarise ourselves with the raft of new ministers.

The afternoon is helpful for those of us seeking new contracts, as lead members from councils and their chief executives learned about how social enterprise is ideally placed to meet their rapidly shifting targets.

Tuesday Present a session on childcare social enterprise at the Daycare Trust's London Childcare Provider's Forum. I say quite simply that whichever party wins the election, no one has any money, so any childcare option has to be sustainable.

Wednesday Off to a nursery to remind myself why we matter. Two seconds with a four-year-old is enough to ground anyone. I think they should be part of the Big Brother house; no need for the diary room, just ask a four-year-old and they will tell you straight.
