My Life: Rebekah Osborne 10, Streatham, London

1 min read
I live with my mum and dad, and my brother Jacob, who is three years younger than me. He was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome when he was four, which means he sometimes acts very strangely and can get very distressed.

I often feel like I'm stepping on eggshells when I'm with him.

I find it hard to explain to people why he's acting so weirdly. We recently did a Blue Peter bring-and-buy sale to help support children like Jacob with special needs in after-school clubs.

I go to Penwortham Primary School. It's great because there's so many different nationalities and colours of skin so you'll always fit in. My favourite subjects are art and drama, which is great because my teacher is good at both of these. I also do ballet, I am learning the piano and I swim in the school swimming team.
