It will be Easter soon, which for many people means chocolate eggs and bunnies. But if you're Muslim like me, it's just another day.

I don't think it's fair that everybody in the UK makes such a big deal about Christmas and Easter, but not Ramadan and Eid. During the Christian holidays we all get days off school. During Eid we still have to go to school, and if we take it off at my school they count it as being absent.

But spending that time with my family and friends is what Eid is all about.

Most of the young people I know who are not Muslim think Easter is just about eating chocolate, but it's really about Jesus being crucified.

As a Muslim, I have been educated on why we celebrate Eid and Ramadan.
