My life

For almost two years I've spent two hours a week at the hospital. I workon the wards and I'm a meeter and greeter. It's just things like tidyingup and reading to patients, especially older ones who don't getvisitors.

They can get lonely so it's nice for them when I talk to them and theymeet a new person.

They sit with their heads down because they've no one to talk to. It'snice to see them smile because someone wants to talk them. We talk aboutthe weather, flowers or whatever.

They always want to talk about my career, do I want to be a doctor, about their grandchildren and what jobs they're in. They like to bringup memories of when they used to work and stuff.
