The Morgan Inquiry into volunteering had "major failings", according to Worldwide Volunteering. The organisation said major players in the youth volunteering sector were ignored during the evidence sessions and that the recommendations would lead to more bureaucracy.
The inquiry, published last week (CYP Now, 4-10 June), said young people should be given flexible days off in a bid to encourage volunteering. See Crib Sheet, p26.
