Mobile youth services for teens

1 min read Youth Work
Seven mobile youth centres are to start providing services to teenagers in Nottinghamshire.

The centres will operate in each of the seven council areas in the county. The funding for the buses came from the Youth Capital Fund, with each vehicle costing about £83,500. The move follows a consultation with young people in Nottinghamshire. Young people also helped decide the layout and design of the buses.

The youth service hopes the mobile units will offer young people things to do, a place to go and someone to talk to. They will also give young people an opportunity to have their say on what activities and projects they want to get involved in, within their area.
