- What do you do?
I run a sexual health outreach service for North Tyneside Primary Care Trust. Our main aim is to reduce teenage pregnancy and improve sexual health by providing a service in accessible venues. We will be going to youth clubs and colleges, and we've even been out in pubs and clubs to raise awareness of what we do. My job is strategic, but now that the service is up and running, my aim is to get out there rather than be stuck in meetings.
- What did you do before?
I've been a nurse for 23 years and held a variety of roles. Some have been working specifically with young people, such as when I was providing information about family planning and sexual health as a school nurse. This is a new role, but it's a perfect fit for me.
