Mental Health: Trusts need closer ties with services

1 min read

The Future of Mental Health: A Vision for 2015, published by the Sainsbury Centre for Mental Health, the Local Government Association, the Association of Directors of Social Services and the NHS Confederation, says the children of people with mental health problems should have their needs assessed as young carers. It also calls for mental health issues to be part of the school curriculum (www.scmh.org.uk).

The report was welcomed by Mind, Young Minds and human rights organisation the 1990 Trust, which works to improve the mental health of Black and minority ethnic (BME) groups.
