Mental Health: Better provision needed for young

Promoting the mental health and psychological well-being of children and young people, a draft version of which was seen by Young People Now (YPN, 27 September-3 October, p5), states that meeting the target to develop a comprehensive child and adolescent mental health service (CAMHS) by the end of 2006 will be "challenging".

Barbara Herts, chief executive of YoungMinds, said: "By the end of 2006 there won't be a comprehensive CAMHS."
