With the Beijing Olympics about to begin, thoughts are turning to London 2012. But will the games here benefit children and young people? Joe Lepper investigates.

It's now three years since London won its bid to host the 2012 Olympics. But there are major doubts over whether its legacy will genuinely transform the lives of children and young people. Here, CYP Now identifies five questions that must be answered urgently.

1. Who will fund and manage legacy plans for children and young people?

"I am disappointed that we find ourselves at an advanced stage of the procurement process without clear and agreed plans for legacy," says David Ross, London 2012 representative for the capital's mayor Boris Johnson.

His critical progress report published in June says legacy plans have been blighted by a lack of vision.
