Lloyds TSB Foundation Community Programme

Social Care Youth Work
What is it? The Community Programme is run by the Lloyds TSB Foundation. It funds work that helps disadvantaged people become more involved with the community. The foundation says it's particularly interested in work that improves social and community involvement, provides better life choices, and helps people to be heard.

How much is on offer? The foundation doesn't publish an amount, but says it offers grants "of one to three years that are appropriate to the size and needs of each charity".

What will it fund? It funds charities to enable them to continue and develop existing community-based work, or to develop the organisation and its services. For instance, last year Hampshire Youth Bureau received £40,000 over three years towards the salary of a counsellor as well as core costs. The bureau offers free advice to vulnerable and homeless young people.
