Letter: Gambling risks

Our own research backs up the findings of the British Medical Association's recent report that young people are at risk of becoming gaming addicts. It shows how easy it is for children to register and gamble online - exposing them to the damaging effects gambling can have, such as addiction.

We urge the Government to take on the recommendations in this report andreview the safeguards available under the Gambling Act to protectyoungsters, not just from online gambling, but all forms of gambling. The Government must prevent the children of today becoming the gamblersof tomorrow.
