Legislation: Online forum will debate smoke ban

The forum will be run by the society's under-18s project, Heads Up, from 19 September to 17 October. MPs taking part include Andrew Lansley, shadow minister for health; Steve Webb, Liberal Democrat health spokesman; and Labour's Helen Goodman, member of the All-Party Parliamentary group for children.

Webb said: "There should be a ban on smoking but it would help to see what young people think."

Barry Griffiths, project manager at Heads Up, said: "Ministers have referred to Heads Up debates in Parliament."
